Girlfriends Photoshop Class

A small group of "digital darlin's" met with our personal "guru of all
things photoshop" to learn the ins and outs of PSE7.

OH MY SOCKS!  There was so much to learn!
JENI IS A GENIUS!

I think the pictures say it all!  We had a BLAST at Jeni's fantabulous
Photoshop Class!

Naturally there were plenty of good-natured jibes between Audrey
and me (what's new?) and Jann Nieres was her classy self throughout
the entire long day.  She happens to be one of my favorite people
and a true lady in every sense of the word.
Our Photoshop class actually began on Friday when Jeni and Bob
came to the shop to set up for the class.  Bob helped Lisa and me
move tables and get all the electrical necessities in place for eight
women with their computers to plug in and get started without
blowing out any circuts!  What a doll he is.  Now we know some of
the reasons you love him, Jeni!

Saturday before the shop even opened they were there again but this
time they had all Jeni's must-haves including a very large flat screen
tv to hook up to her computer so we could see what she was doing as
she was doing it!  This was such a great addition and really did make
all the difference!

The gals arrived and we started getting everyone set up and ready.
It was easy to tell how excited everyone was because we were all in
our seats and eager to begin right on time!

Jeni had a lesson plan, our own personal lesson disc to help us
through every step and so much more.  (Jeni even created a private
blog for her students to continue to ask questions, receive new
lessons and share successes!  Can you even imagine?)

I want each of these remarkable gals who came to the class to know
how great I think they are.  Sandi had taken a PSE class before and
gave us a few little tips here and there that really helped.  Audrey
took some very unflattering pictures of Lisa and me (I will consider
adding those to my autobiography in years to come!) and added her
wonderful humor to the day.  Jann as I said earlier was a calming
influence along with Tisha and Judy.  I don't think they took their
eyes away from their computers for the entire six hours!  And then
there is She never complained even once.  I had to force her to allow
me to step in and help a little.  She never lost her temper and kept
right up through the entire class.  Then there is my Lisa.  She was so
excited about the class and I know it met her every expectation.  She
now knows how to add frames, swirls, and other pieces of whimsy to
all her pictures.  I hope my own attendance was not a distraction.  I
get a little excited from time to time and that excitement can become
a bit overwhelming.  If I squeeked too loud (veiled reference to the
squeeky wheel getting the grease) please forgive me.

Lastly I have to both praise and thank Jeni for a most enlightening
day.  I learned so very much.

When I go to a class of any kind I look for a list of things.

Does the teacher know her subject?

Is she prepared?

Can she answer questions easily and successfully?

Does she have a good sense of humor or will little frustrations
unsettle her?

Is she helpful to every student?

Has she taught me at least some part of what I am here to learn?

Would I take another class from her.

Without reservation I will answer YES to each of these questions.
Jeni did everything she could and more to make this class successful
for each and every woman there.  We learned more in 6 hours than
Sandi said she learned in a month of classes elsewhere.  I will go
anywhere to take other classes from this remarkable woman.  And
for anyone who may think I am exagerating or in any way insincere
in my praise Audrey will be in the shop tomorrow to let you know
exactly how much I have underplayed the remarkable experience
we had.

We laughed, we stressed, we worked, we learned!

always,

michele
