"Daisy D's Days was a great day of scrapbooking, friendship and fun." said Lisa Fairbanks of
scrappin' Girlfriends.  "I think everyone had a blast!  I know Michele and I did!"

The two women opened scrappin' Girlfriends a year ago and to celebrate the anniversary they paired
with Daisy D's Paper Co. in a day long scrapbooking event.

Over thirty avid scrappers from around Idaho joined Ms.Fairbanks and Hamilton for classes, lunch and
loads of gifts!  "What can we say, it was scrap-tastic!" said one participant.  The day long event was
held in the community area of Main Street Plaza directly across the street from scrappin' Girlfriends
on Main Street in Historic downtown Twin Falls.

Jennifer Erlikka from Daisy D's designed and taught two wonderful classes while Lisa Fairbanks
designed and taught a third class.  Michele Hamilton kept the ladies guessing with dozens of
giveaways.  "My favorite thing to do is to give stuff away so Lisa let me be Ms. Claus for the day,"
stated Ms. Hamilton.  "I think everyone got something they were happy to take home.  I just wish my
name had been in the bowl once or twice!"

Enrollment in the event was limited to just 36 lucky students.  "I was disappointed that I could not come
to this event but I won't miss the next one!" said Cindy Knickerbocker of Boise.  Michele explained,
"We have limited space available for these types of events so as much as we would love to open it to
everyone we have to keep the numbers low.  I also think it makes the day more personal and more fun
because everyone gets to know each other.  It is as much about friendship as it is about scrapping."

The next Girlfriends event is scheduled for November 2006.  The girls are already getting plans in
order and are collecting the dozens of gifts they will need if Michele is to play Ms. Claus again.  "The
best way to get into one of our events is to sign up for our newsletter,:" said Ms. Fairbanks "Oh and if
ya snooze ya lose!  As always sign ups are first come first served!"
Where else would the girlfriends stay but in the pinkest place in Vegas!  The
Flamingo was our temporary home and office!

We did have a blast but CHA gave new meaning to tired!  I have never been so
bone tired in my entire life!  Lisa and I walked our feet flat and lugged tons of
catalogs literally all day long.  The reward is all the beautiful product arriving
at the shop weekly.

We ran into friends all through the show.  Mare was there from WCS in Boise!
We could have spent more time with her but she had a date with Elton!  Elton
John that is!

We also ran into Gene from Memories by Design in Boise and Mary and Michele
from Tiffany Square in Twin.  We were all running in different directions of
course but it is nice to know you are not alone in a sea for scrappin' stuff!

I got to meet Anna Griffin.  She is so lovely.  I can hardly wait to see what she
has in store for us this summer!

The  Vegas night life is hoppin' but we didn't see much we were just too tired.
We did make it to Paris and Margaritaville however!

We had a blast and cannot wait until next year when we get to do it again!!!
"Look who's on the cover of CK" says Lisa
Fairbanks as she happily holds her copy of
the cover mock up she and her business
partner Michele Hamilton received at CHA!
"We are so excited!  It is so unexpected."
Ms. Fairbanks went on to say until she
couldn't hold back the mischievous smile
that told an entirely different story.  "Truth is
we were just testing out the new CK photo
print center!  It is our dream to have one of
these in the shop someday."  All we have
to say is that maybe someday all our
dreams can come true!"
